Italian AMB Meeting

APBF President Syed Maaz Mahmood and Secretary-General Khurram Niaz Khan had a great meeting with the new Italian Ambassador in Pakistan H.E. Andreas Ferrarese at Italian Embassy.
APBF welcomed the new ambassador and felicitated him with the best wishes during his stay in Pakistan. Mutual cooperation, bilateral trade between Pakistan & Italy, Webinar, Technology Transfer was discussed. APBF highlighted the impact and challenges of COVID-19 on the business community of both countries and its solution to make the business community prosperous and motivated.
H.E. Andreas Ferrarese discussed that Italy affected worse due to COVID-19, as compared to the other countries but the Italian government and nation remained committed to competing COVID-19. H. E. further said we must have to join hands to work together to minimize the losses and increase the positive productivity post-COVID-19.
APBF President Mr. Syed Maaz Mahmood complemented Excellency that APBF has an MOU and excellent working relationship with the Italian Embassy in Pakistan and committed to making this relationship more strong in the future. Excellency briefed APBF that Italy has a lot to offer and Pakistan can get technology transfer, joint venture, B2Bs, enhancing tourism in Pakistan through culture, archeology, and civilization as Italy will support due to its experience.
APBF Secretary General Khurram Niaz elaborated that in Pakistan APBF has arranged the Italian Food Festival last year and Excellency appreciated it and committed to enhancing this cooperation in hospitality management and food technology. Tribute to the great efforts of Excellency Stefano Pontecorvo (former Ambassador of Italy)was paid for his tireless services to strengthen ties between Italy and Pakistan.
