APBF Board Meeting

APBF Board meeting was held to discuss various APBF initiatives, to review ongoing activities, and planning of future projects. APBF Secretary-General Mr. Khurram Niaz Khan welcomed the APBF members after Covid 19 while sharing the efforts made by APBF for the awareness of the precautionary measures for COVID-19 to the business community since March 2020. President Mr. Syed Maaz Mahmood briefed APBF Board members about his recent activities like meeting with the diplomatic community, World Bank Pakistan, Government authorities & others for the economic prosperity of Pakistan. APBF signed an MOU with Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) to increase the bilateral trade between Hungary & Pakistan and is this regard, APBF will host HEPA and take its delegation to Hungary. APBF chairman Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi highlighted that there is a great potential of exporting trained HR & skilled workforce to other countries like Canada etc and APBF will take an initiative to make a platform for the training of Pakistan HR skilled labor as per the market demand across the world. APBF will take his business delegation to Canada as well, for the liaison of APBF members with the Canadian business community. APBF board member Dr. Saman Yazdani emphasized the power & rights of women entrepreneurs and appreciated that APBF has always promoted it at every level. The establishment of a technical institute with an aim to train and export HR of different sectors was approved by the board. Further conference by the year-end for CPEC, TVET and its export of HR, Economy was discussed and handed over to conference committee for further deliberation keeping in view COVID-19 situation. Few other fruitful discussions were the part of this meeting.
The meeting was attended by Board Members Mr. Khurram Niaz Khan Secretary-General, Mr. Wasim Zakaria, Mr. Muhammad Naeem, Mr. Naveed Minhas, Mr. Safdar Hussain, Mr. Haseeb Safdar, and Mr. Salman Asif. Meeting ended with words of thanks to Mr. Wasim Zakaria CEO of Foot lib for his great hospitality and scrumptious dinner.
