APBF President Mr. Syed Maaz Mahmood invited TEVTA Chairperson Mr. Ali Salman and other officials for the visit of Sundar Industrial Estate

APBF President Mr. Syed Maaz Mahmood invited Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Chairperson Mr. Ali Salman, TEVTA Procurement GM Mr. Amer Aziz, Deputy GM Placement Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Director Research & Development Mr. Hassam Muazzam and other officials along with APBF National Board Member Mr. Asim Shahzad Sheikh for the visit of Sundar Industrial Estate.
APBF President Mr. Syed Maaz Mahmood arranged the visit of TEVTA delegation to BOM Sundar Industrial Estate where Chairperson TEVTA Ali Salman was given a presentation about SIE. APBF and TEVTA delegation also visited SIE vigilance and safety Control Room, Qadcast Pvt. Ltd and CHT Pvt. Ltd. The visit was planned to discuss mutual collaboration in various areas including initiation of skill development courses specific to the diverse industries located in Sundar Industrial Estate and job placement for TEVTA students. Shahzad Azam Khan, President of SIE and Haroon Ali Khan, Senior Vice President of BOM SIE welcomed the delegation.
Syed Maaz Mahmood briefed the delegation about the APBF and remarked that APBF always work to strengthen the Industry with an ultimate goal of prosperous Pakistan. For this purpose the APBF has already signed an MoU with TEVTA to produce the demand-based skilled force for the industrial sectors.
SIE President Mr. Shahzad Azam said that lack of skilled labour is a major problem for the industry and offered the TEVTA that SIE will share skilled labor requirements data with it on yearly basis. In this regard, a Sundar Specific Sector Skill Council will be set up which will be responsible for arranging Industrial Visits, Industrial Internships, Job Placements and help in developing demand-driven courses. Chairperson TEVTA Mr. Ali Salman briefed that to increase technical education and vocational training through advanced digitalisation and job placement is the main objective of TEVTA and it is in line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan to provide TEVT to youth and to provide them jobs. He appreciated APBF and BOM SIE for an excellent collaboration and shown his great will to put full support from TEVTA through curriculum preparation and courses as per requirement of industry.
TEVTA Delegation visited Qadcast Pvt. Ltd. along with Asim Qadri Director Operations of M/s QadBros Engineering (Pvt) Ltd and inspected their fourth Generation Industry.
TEVTA Chairperson Mr. Ali Salman applauded Mr. Asim Qadri of his large scale industrial processes as well as design simulations through which they export their products to the world. The technical staff of that industrial unit was recruited mainly from TEVTA’s Govt. Swedish Pakistan Institute of Technology. It was decided to further share upcoming skill demand for future requirements.
After that TEVTA delegation visited CHT Pvt. Ltd. along with Haroon Ali Khan, MD CHT Pakistan where they inspected the state of the art SDGs complied Eco-Friendly and other facilities. Furthermore, Chairperson Mr. Ali Salman was briefed about 360 Degree HR Communication Model. It was mutually decided that all their job descriptions, skill requirements, benchmarks and databases will be shared with TEVTA which will help them minimize their HR recruitment costs as well as supporting maximum placement of TEVTA students.
TEVTA Chairperson appreciated the efforts of APBF to promote industrialization in the country and appreciated the APBF President Syed Maaz Mahmood for arranging this visit to the major industrial cluster of the country. President APBF expressed his thanks to Chairperson TEVTAT Mr. Ali Salman for taking time out to visit SIE and also he thanked President, Senior Vice President and management of BOM SIE for their great hospitality.
